The Highwaymen at the Guthrie Center

The Highwaymen http://originalhighwaymen.com who had a hit with Michael Row The Boat Ashore back in 1961 will be at the Guthrie Center, 4 Van Deusenville Road, Great Barrington, MA 01230, (413)528-1955 on Friday August 3 and Saturday August 4 at 8:00pm. There will be a children's show on Sunday August 5. This is not simply nostalgia act. Sure, the Highwaymen sing some of their old songs but two thirds of the cuts on their new album have never before appeared on a Highwaymen release. Come see the Highwaymen demonstrate that they are still a vital and vibrant force on the folk scene, always looking to expand their horizons and to grow as artists and performers.

The gates are open and there are a few lower campground tickets and day tickets available for the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival http://www.greyfoxbluegrass.com in Ancramdale, NY. Sure, there are big name and up-and-coming performers on performance stages, or on dance tents, or showcase visits. Then there is education opportunities.
